What a Reiki treatment is
Reiki is an age-old method that works with calm, attention and light touch, based on the idea of universal life energy. Above all it is time for yourself, in a room where nothing is expected of you.
Reiki is not a massage: you keep your clothes on and lie quietly on the treatment table. Maria works from your crown to your feet, in a quiet room where nothing is expected of you. Above all, it is time for yourself.
The treatment takes place in the same calm, ground-floor home salon in Zaandam as the pedicure, by appointment only.
How the treatment works

- 02The treatmentYou lie fully clothed on the treatment table. Maria works from crown to feet according to the Reiki method, for about 45 minutes.
- 03A calm endingYou take your time to come round before you head off again.
Do not expect a massage in which muscles are kneaded. Maria places her hands on different spots, or holds them just above, and pays attention to the chakras along the way. You are treated on both the front and the back.
Sometimes Maria shares afterwards what she noticed during the treatment, for example a gemstone that suits you at that moment.
