What the pedicure treatment involves
Perhaps you have never been to a pedicurist, it has been a while, or you are looking for a new one. You are very welcome, and Maria takes her time for you. A pedicure is for everyone: men and women, young and older.
During the pedicure treatment your nails are cut, thinned and polished where needed, and the cuticles are cared for. Maria also treats callus, corns, cracked skin and ingrown nails, so you can walk comfortably again.
Maria obtained her pedicure diploma with the diabetes certification in 2004. After years as a mobile pedicurist she opened her own salon in Zaandam in 2021, where every treatment takes place in peace and quiet.

How the treatment works
- 01Intake and assessmentThe feet are disinfected and carefully assessed. Any complaints and points of attention are discussed beforehand.
- 02Careful treatmentNails are cut, thinned and polished where needed. Callus, corns, cracked skin and ingrown nails are treated with expertise.
- 03Finishing and aftercareThe feet are smoothed and cared for with foot cream.
Come with clean feet, so the treatment can start straight away. If you have a complaint that a pedicurist cannot treat at that moment, such as a fungal nail, you will get advice on what is best to do.
Short treatment: maximum 20 minutes
A full pedicure is not always needed. With a short treatment, part of the foot care gets attention, in a maximum of twenty minutes and for € 20.
A short treatment is a shorter appointment for when you do not need the full pedicure in between. You agree with Maria beforehand which part suits your feet best.
A short treatment gets the same careful, hygienic approach as a full pedicure treatment, by a qualified pedicurist with the diabetes certification.

Polish, gel polish and extra care
Complete your pedicure with polish, gel polish, a foot scrub or a nourishing mask. For well-cared-for feet that look lovely too.
For polish Maria works with Orly Breathable. If you choose gel polish, she uses Urban Nails: the gel polish is cured under the lamp and dry straight away, so you can put your shoes back on immediately.
A foot scrub and a nourishing mask are lovely additions to the pedicure treatment. You can choose them separately or combine them.
Orly Breathable combines base coat, colour and top coat in one polish. With gel polish from Urban Nails you choose a gloss, matte or glitter top coat. For regular polish it is best to bring flip-flops, so the polish can dry in peace.

Good to know
- Every pedicure treatment comes with a three-week guarantee. If complaints remain during that period, they are resolved free of charge.
- Do you use blood thinners, have diabetes or another medical background? Mention it at your first appointment so Maria can take it into account.
- Every six weeks is common, but it differs per person. A punch card for five treatments costs € 165 and is valid for one year.
- You pay afterwards, in cash or via Tikkie. Cancelling is free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment.
